Its a Party!

For Deshy's first birthday party, we went with a colorful "rolling" theme. We had all things that roll: polka dots, wagons, bouncy balls, trucks, balloons, pinwheels, swirly lollipops and gum balls.

As guest arrived they signed in using their fingerprints on a special birthday wagon and ball page.

The food table offered rolled up PBJs, Ken's delicious salads (a pasta and a caprese), jello cups, fruit salad served in waffle cones, individual bags of chips, veggies and dip, and lemonade with sherbet.

Lisa Watkins of Bug O'Boo Creations made Deshy's adorable 1st Birthday Shirt. I love how the '1' sat in grass on a hand stitched wooden post and the surprise pinwheel on the back.

Deshy came sooo close to walking at his party!

When it was time to blow out his candles, we all sang Happy Birthday and then Deshy got his first piece of red velvet cake.

 Yummy!!!
 Say 'Cheese'!!!
It wasn't long before Deshy discovered his birthday presents.
He loved everything! He received such wonderful and thoughtful gifts. He has had fun daily playing or wearing each gift since the party.

Overall, I think everyone had a good time.
And when the party was over, Deshy slept for a long time.
It was a perfect day.
