Deshy's First Christmas

Deshy loved his first Christmas, especially all of the twinkle lights and friendly faces.

Our tree
We kicked off the Christmas celebrations with our annual Marshall Progressive dinner. We had dinner at the Ryan Marshall house followed by dessert at our home. For dessert we prepared a Chocolate Bar.

The McAndas happened to call during our party so we got to have a little chat with them and see cute Macy and how big she is getting.

We even got to see all of their pretty Christmas decorations.

On Christmas Eve we each got to open one gift!

Surprise! Pajamas!

All dressed up for Christmas Eve dinner
Deshy in his new jammies, ready for bed. Shhh, do I hear jingle bells?

On Christmas morning Deshy made sure we didn't sleep in.

Look what Santa brought!

Grammy and Grandpa joined us for a special Christmas breakfast.

Not too fast now, Deshy!

For dinner, we headed over to Grandpa and Grandma Marshall's with Ryan, Kelli, Brooklynn, Garrett, Maddie and McKay.
Dressed in our best for Christmas dinner.

Silly boy.

It was a pretty fun Christmas and I think everyone got what they wanted. I know I did!

10 Months!

My baby is 10 months old. Wow. I have even started to prepare for his 1st Birthday party. I can't believe it. What a true joy he has been in my life. He is such a little love.

He is a silly guy. He loves to chase and crawl after Mom and Dad. He loves to play peek-a-boo. He has almost started to clap (we're still practicing). We are also practicing drinking out of a sippy cup. He thinks its a game and laughs before spitting out the liquid. He likes to stick out his tongue when he looks in the mirror. He has two teeth on the bottom, two teeth on top and two more coming in on top.

He loves a party and meeting new faces. He's beyond the stranger anxiety phase, it didn't last long. His favorite activity is Little Gym on Friday mornings. He loves the other babies. He loves to bowl them over with his head and "kiss" them and climb on them. He loves to explore at the Little Gym even during Circle Time.

He is cruising all over the house, along the furniture and walls. He likes to pull himself up on the windowsill and peer at the backyard. He loves playing with balls and blocks and cars and his two noisy walkers. He loves books and turning pages.

He talks in Deshy language. He will have a full conversation with you in his own little language. He also understand things like: Where is...? Ball. Daddy. Mommy. Truck/Car. Come on! Drink. Bite.

In less than two months he will be one. I can't believe it.

He looks so grown up here!

Much more interested in the camera than his sock monkey.

A Visit with the Big Guy

Christmas wouldn't be complete without a trip to see Santa at Bluff View. It took Deshy a moment to realize what was happening but thanks to photographer John Alden and my favorite Santa and Mrs. Claus, we were able to catch some great pics!
