ALOOOOOOOOOHA!

We decided we needed a relaxing trip where we did nothing but lounge around, eat, drink, and do a little shopping. So it was decided....Hawaii!!!!!
Helping Mama pack

Before we flew out, we spent the night in San Francisco. We arrived at the hotel late and after sleeping in the car all the way there, Deshy decided he wanted to be awake for a few hours when the rest of us were ready to sleep. Finally, after pulling him into bed with us he slept.

Checking out the planes.

Cheers! Already in vacation mode.

Killing time on the long flight, walking up and down the aisles.

Being entertained by Grandma.

We have arrived!!!

On our way!

Guess we won't go that way....

We didn't waste any time before heading to the beach.

Not crazy about the sand, at first.

He quickly warmed up.

Our patio

We spent a lot of time at the pool

We spent the evenings playing cards after the boy went to bed.

Deshy loved being outdoors, so much so that even when it was past his nap time, he didn't complain.

Enjoyed dinner, watching the sun set.

Quiet time in the hotel.
Playing with Daddy while Mom gets dressed.

Deshy never did get on Hawaii time and woke up every morning at about 4 am ready for the day. So, being the amazing husband that he is, Ken would pack him up and they would head out for a walk to watch the sunrise while Mom got a couple more hours of sleep. Ken later reflected that despite being sleep deprived, those father/son early morning walks were some of his favorite times of our trip.

And of course, we snorkeled.

On the last night, we decided to walk down the beach to the neighboring hotel. It was quite an adventure trying to get a stroller and baby and paraphernalia over the rocks and sand. It was a beautiful sunset and worth the work.

On our last morning, we all got up early and headed to the beach to watch the sunrise, see the whales and turtles, and watch the boats load up for the day.

Peek A Boo, Grandpa!

This game never gets old.

We had so much fun and we weren't ready to leave.
Hope to see you soon, Hawaii!!!

  1. Oh how wonderful! Thanks for documenting and sharing with us :) We wish we could have come, it all looked so beautiful. I love the picture of Desh sitting by himself on the walk way with the bird behind him– and the one below of He and Ken looking out at the ocean... you got some skillz sistah.
